The 2014“Huang Feihong Cup” International Hung Kuen Competition was held on the 22^th and 23^rd of November with huge success and has come to a satisfactory close. Its smooth run is attributed to the joint organization of several parties including the People’s Government of Xiqiao, World Hung Kuen Association, Xiqiao National Forests Development Limited and National Arts Studio, team work of the World Hung Kuen Association and the strict, serious and fair assessment of the referee group. Regional officers, coaches, guides and Kung Kuen fellows from 16 different countries have paid their full support to the tournament, making it a magnificent event.

The Competition is seen to be a world-scale tournament. According to media reports, the number of audience reached as high as 22,000! The age of athletes range from 6 to 66 years old, reflecting the compatible nature of Chinese martial arts and the suitability of Hung Kuen kungfu for all ages. In the near future, our Association will keep spreading the Hung Kuen martial arts culture to every corner of the world in order that more people know and learn such healthy and disciplined quintessence of Chinese culture.

Last but not least, the Association expresses its sincere thanks to all the parties who have participated and provided assistance in the event. We hope that all Hung Kuen fellows continue their support to the Association and actively participated in its future events.
