The 1st World Hung Kuen Competition 2014

To further promote Hung Kuen kungfu, the World Hung Kuen Association and the People`s Government of Foshan will jointly organize the 1st World Hung Kuen Competition 2014.

(1) Competition date and location

Date : 21 – 23 November 2014 (Fri - Sun)

Location : Xiqiao, Foshan, China (Accurate location has to be confirmed)

Address : Bo'ai Road, Shishan Town, Nanhai District, Foshan

(2) Itinerary

21sh November - Athletes arrive for competition registration and hotel check in

- Welcome Dinner

22nd November - Opening Ceremony and Competition

23rd November - Competition, Awards Presentation and Closing Ceremony

(3) Application method

Completed Application Form - Competition (3 pages) together with the pay-in bank slip should be submitted through email: worldhungkuenassociation@gmail.com or mail to UnitB, 2/F, Jone Milt Factory Building, 169 Wai Yip Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon on or before 21 Oct 2014.

(4) Tournament Groups

- Individual single item competition

- Individual all-round competition (each must participate in 1 short weapon, 1 long weapon and 1 boxing set form)

(5) Age Groups (Note: there will be no gender classification for all competition items)

Children (6-11 years old)

Youth (12-17 years old)

Adult (18-49 years old)

Senior (50 years old or over)

(7) Sponsorship

The competition committee will sponsor all oversea athletes 2 nights free hotel room ( Every 2 people for one room ) for the first two nights (Friday and Saturday). No cash allowance will be paid.

(8) No. of participants restrictions

To let more Hung Kuen practitioners participating in the competition, the Association will do its best to accommodate all the applications. However, if there is venue or other environmental factors restricting the number of participants, the Association will take the first-come-first-serve basis.
